I fail to dress appropriately for casual occasions being constantly overdressed (but little do they know my outfit rarely costs over $20). High fashion doesn’t have to come with hefty price tags, you just need to know where to look and how to accessorise. This post is a perfect example of a standout ensemble, we all have items in our wardrobe that we always question ‘Is it too extravagant for day wear?’ I’m telling you it’s not… Whip out that outfit and rock it tomorrow. With a smile on your face, spring in your step!
This outfit was all obtained at the op shop, my favourite pants for a bargain of $7 and I recently scored an ASOS crop sweat for $5. Op shopping takes time and patience but it is definitely worth it. The trick is not to compare items to what is fashionable at the moment and look at them for purely what they are. You find things no one else owns and many flattering vintage pieces (in my opinion ‘fashionable’ clothes today rarely flatter the female figure). But don’t be discouraged if you do not find things first go, there are always dry spells in the PreLoved fashion game but you just need to be persistent!
